Within the next 17 years...

I am a minister of industry and trade of the Republic of Indonesia from 2017 to 2022 tenure. I am the ‘nd women as the minister of industry and trade in the republic, college experience made me who I think served in this capacity, accounting graduate education in economics faculty of the UI lead me to get a scholarship at MIT business school for master's and Doctoral degree. A good understanding of financial and industry knowledge that I got at MIT who I think gives sufficient understanding to put Indonesia in the life of global trade. So I understand very well how to put the potential winning Indonesia in the association world trade. At MIT I learned that trade is not a mere instinct, but is that market behavior can be predicted. With the right tools we can ensure Indonesian products which should be increased the quantity to increase state revenues.

At first to be minister is not my reflection, after 10 years living in America, college, and worked at the World Bank as an analyst, returned to Indonesia would require adjustment at first. Fortunately the last 2 years I taught at the University of Indonesia my former school. with the origin of diverse students from all over Indonesia made me more quickly understand the current Indonesian situation, however mingle with young children with idealism and their understanding of the issues of trade and industry which they pass on the discussion in class made me quickly understand the issues of trade and industry in all regions of Indonesia. That is the basic to understand the industry and trade in a duty as minister of industry and trade.

For my children Indonesia is a foreign country that I was introduced to them through bedtime. It's a mistake to me that just to take the children back to Indonesia every time the lebaran holidays only. So of course that means my greatest child new Indonesian 8 times to a lack of time to understand what kind of Indonesia, because my children in the United States also attended public schools. My first son Muhammad putra nagara, even thought that Indonesia consists only of Bandung and Jakarta only. He is now attending SMP Al Azhar Kemang. But younger sister, Putri Nabila Citra (5 years) and daughter Natasha Putri Andini (3 years) schools in the play group IRS International School, because my husband wants a global education in the reach of my children at an early age.

Unfortunately my husband was still under contract as an analyst at the IMF for 2 more years to come, in addition to his work teaching of Islamic economics at MIT business school, my husband met when studying at the UI, he can return to Indonesia once a month or when the official events state needs it. But as a husband who has been with me for 11 years I would need a presence not just there for educating the children but even further, becoming a reliable friend of discussion in the field as a professor in the field of Islamic economy.

That's me in 17 years from now, that dream will come true.
